Japan bans exports of jets, drones, construction equipment to Russia

TOKYO, Mar 31 (PRIME) -- Japan has forbidden exports of construction equipment; jet and ship engines; navigation equipment; jet radio transmitters; aircraft, spacecraft and their components; drones; optical and photo equipment to Russia, the Economy Ministry said late on Thursday.

The blacklist also includes steel, aluminum and aluminum goods, steam boilers and components, forging equipment, generators, transport equipment and components, fiber optics and fiber optic cable, medical checkup equipment, measurement instruments, precision instruments and components, and toys.

Tokyo has also prolonged Russia's rejection of the most favored nation status for one year, Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki said. Japan stripped Russia of the status on March 16, 2022.
